SandyWelcome to Sandy’s Food blog.

It captures the food and recipes from a Jamaican Chinese Hakka heritage and from time spent in Canada, US, China, Singapore and South East Asia.

I have the luxury of two home bases, one in Toronto and the other in Singapore.   It mirrors my split heritage – Chinese born in Jamaica,  raised in Canada and living in Asia.  This blog is to capture some of what I’ve seen and tasted. This is primarily a food blog with links to a sister site on travel, The Sandy Chronicles and   photos on my Flickr account.

Reader beware: This is a food blog but not necessarily a recipe one. The recipes are not proven to be repeatable.  The ingredient lists are true but the measurements approximate. Like most home cooks, I normally adjust to taste.
